Housing Intel
On-Post Housing
Command-sponsored families are assigned on-post quarters when occupancy is under 95 percent. Inventory covers about 40 percent of those families, so many still receive a certificate of non-availability and live off post.
Off-Post Rental Market
Off-post leases in Paengseong and Pyeongtaek must be approved by the housing office. OHA reimburses actual rent up to the ceiling.
Commute
On-post commutes are walkable or a short drive. Seoul is 40 miles north via expressway or KTX high-speed rail from Pyeongtaek Station.
