Housing Intel
On-Post Housing
Lincoln Military Housing manages both Pearl Harbor and Hickam areas. Demand is extremely high. Apply immediately upon receiving orders.
Off-Post Rental Market
Hawaii has some of the highest housing costs in the nation. BAH is substantial but the market is competitive. Many families in E1-E5 find it tight.
Commute
Pearl City and Aiea are 5 to 10 minutes from the main gate. Ewa Beach is 15 to 20 minutes via H-1. Kapolei is 20 to 25 minutes. Honolulu commuters should budget 30 to 45 minutes. H-1 traffic toward Honolulu is notorious in the morning.
