On-base housing through Lincoln Military Housing is competitive. SEAL community and airwing have different housing areas. Apply immediately.

Off-Post Rental Market

Coronado Island itself is extremely expensive. Most enlisted families live in Chula Vista or Imperial Beach to stay within BAH.

Commute

Coronado itself is steps to base. Chula Vista via the Coronado Bridge is 15 to 20 minutes. Chula Vista via Silver Strand is 20 to 25 minutes. Imperial Beach via Silver Strand is 10 to 15 minutes. I-5 and the Coronado Bridge can back up during peak hours.
